Welcome Show Junkies
Another quiet week ahead.
Along with some rain followed by warmer weather.
A great opportunity to work on your ride to prepare for the forecasted 70’s this weekend.
And if you need a bit more coaxing consider this … May marks the start of the weekly cruz-in events.
That’s just over 3 weeks from now.
Time to stop procrastinating and order the much needed tires for my ride.
Gotta admit that I am grappling with the idea of wheels and tires.
A new set of wheels can really change the look and personality of the car.
Classic Mercedes SL style or hot rod fat wheels, fender flares and side pipes…
Probably PO the purists but sure would be something different.
Circling back to the regularly scheduled car shows and the growing popularity.
Not surprisingly as the attendance of the weekly shows has continued to grow, so to has the number of towns hosting regular events.
Probably one of the few positive effects of the pandemic.
The town chambers are recognizing the positive impact we car enthusiasts bring, along with benefit $$$ for local business owners.
While the food trucks at the events are a nice option we should consider the local business owners and their contribution to these events.
So when attending these events it’s a good practice to spend some time and dollars in support of the local brick & mortar business’s.
Add events with live music and on-site lodging like the Classic Car show at Hinkley casino in September and we have many great opportunities to show off our rides.
And with that it’s time for me to get outdoors, into the garage and on the road.
There’s much more progress to completed before my classic ride hits the road again.
