Week 22, 2024 | 17 Events | 40th Annual Mopars in the Park | Shades of the Past | Sun & Fun Car Show and many more ...
May 27 - June 2 | Don't forget to remember and Honor those who served to protect our freedom this Memorial Day. Then get ready for a busy week with 17 events on schedule including some weekly events
Welcome Show Junkies
First a heartfelt condolences to those who lost loved ones defending our freedom and our great nation.
And a big Thank You to those that serve and served our country.
We are lucky to enjoy the freedom you so bravely defended and to enjoy our hobbies.
We Thank You.
Here’s an idea to show our support to those that served.
Let’s show our pride with the display of the American flag on our cars this week.
And if you don’t have a car at the show maybe a hat, shirt or shorts honoring our soldiers.
And with 17 events this week there are plenty of opportunities to thank our veterans.
This week we welcome the 40th annual Mopars in the Park car show.
With humble beginnings at Raceway Park in Shakopee to the fair ground filling event we have today this is 1 of Minnesotas must see shows.
I will never forget the year that Dodge was on hand giving rides in the new Hellcat and a Viper.
The growl of the Hellcat and roar of the Viper as they accelerated down the track and back was damn cool.
I can see Tim the Toolman Taylor grunting with approval.
Before that on Thursday the Lake Crystal show includes music from Robbie Vee.
Nothing better than some 50’s live music and cool cars on a summer night.
Another show on my short list is the Sun & Fun show at the Jackson Motorplex.
A good cruising distance from the Twin Cities and a race track with racing events are a perfect getaway this summer.
Gotta be something in the air … smell of race fuel, burnt rubber and screaming V8’s at full throttle … yea baby!
Don’t forget to mark your calendar for Minnesota’s own Eddie Cochran car show and music festival in Albert Lea.
Another opportunity to experience beautiful cars and great music before the BTT50’s show in June.
So many great shows and so little time …
Thanks for joining and have a safe Memorial Day Weekend.
The car show and music festival is held annually in honor of Eddie Cochran, an American rock and roll musician often dubbed the Grandfather of Punk, who spent his childhood in Albert Lea.
The Eddie Cochran Car Show and Music Festival features a wide range of music and a terrific opportunity to see classic cars. All events are FREE to the public.
