What you will get when you subscribe
The first full year of publication for the Show Junkies occurred in 2024.
During that first year the Show Junkies delivered …
We published 48 editions of the newsletter.
Subscriber count grew from zero to 3439 in 2024.
An astounding notice of 857 car shows in Minnesota.
Along with 14 Swap Meets.
Other notables…
The most shows in 1 week came in at 62 shows on week 37 (September 9 - September 15).
The most shows in 1 day came in at 22 shows on Saturday July 27th.
To put that in perspective that’s 142 shows a month during the show season of May thru October.
That works out to almost 4 shows each day… if they were spread out, which they aren’t.

About Me
Wanna know a secret… I’m forgetful.
I have the attention span of a chimpanzee.
I’m frequently distracted, like a dog in a forest of squirrels.
And I’m gobsmacked by the shapely curves, seductive purr and tantalizing stance of the classic hot rod, street rod and exotic automobiles of past and present.
It started early…
About the time I started crawling.
Pushing those metal toy cars across the floor.
Which, when challenged by any small child that dared touch my car, often (frequently) became the weapon of choice .
Anywho, fast forward to the early 1980’s and high school.
A friend had just gotten a 1970’s Camaro with dropped suspension and a gnarly hood scoop… I was instantly hooked on that car and eventually acquired a rusted out, worn out but drivable 1971 Camaro SS 350.
And I committed myself to restoring it…before I graduated high school.
Regrettably I sold the Camaro to help fund a college education.
After 20 years in corporate IT world I switched to sales in real estate which is which I still do today and here’s the LinkedIn profile just in case you have need for a realtor with a conscience that understands the needs of car enthusiasts.
Now that the children are grown and the rat race is in my rear view mirror I have time to re-enter my hobby of choice.
Remember when I mentioned that I’m forgetful…
Well I discovered that I’m not the only one chasing squirrels and missing car shows.
Which is why I created the Show Junkies newsletter.
Not only for planning and quick reference to car shows, but also to connect with a community of like minded motor heads.
And you know what … it’s working.
The feedback has been very positive and supportive.
So I will continue the work.
And the benefits of making new friends.
So please join us.
